Hr Advisor

Anderson Knight is working in partnership with a well known client to recruit an experienced HR Adviser, this is a fixed term contract for one year, based on the outskirts of Glasgow with some travel involved. In this role you will work in their head office in Lanarkshire Monday to Friday, or travel to other locations within Scotland.

The successful HR Adviser will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of the wider HR team, by providing generalist HR support in areas such as employee relations, recruitment, reporting and working with the Senior HR Business partner on various HR Projects.

The HR Adviser will be responsible for:

• Advising managers on employee relations issues, such as disciplinaries, grievances, absence and performance management
• Reporting on key HR metrics for management on a daily, weekly and basis
• Delivering training to line managers
• Coaching and guiding line managers, promoting their capabilities and enabling them to make decisions in line with HR best practice and company policy
• Developing and reviewing HR policies and procedures
• Supporting the HR Assistant with the recruitment process
• Providing support and guidance to hiring managers ensuring company policies are adhered to
• Working closely with the HR Business partner on key projects

The successful HR Adviser should meet the following criteria:

• Atleast 1 years’ experience in a HR generalist position with experience managing ER issues
• A CIPD Qualification
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent IT Skills, particularly in Microsoft office
• Strong interpersonal skills - excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Work well independently and as part of a wider team
