HR and Administration Advisor
Location: Milton, Cambs
Salary: - £27-30k
Hours: 37.5 hours a week (hybrid role Tues-Thurs in office)
Start: ASAP
Do you want an exciting stand alone role with support and a role with complete autonomy to build and develop an HR function within a small and exciting SME?
To deliver a professional HR service, advising on the application and implementation of HR policies and procedures and terms and conditions of employment as well as supporting general office administration as required.
To build and develop effective working relationships and to provide support and guidance on all HR related matters.
To support leaders, offering advice and support on any employment related issues. Liaising with other areas of the business and external support (e.g. HR consultancy, payroll, legal) as required to deliver the business needs.
Responsibilities:
HR Advisor:
- Provide high-quality HR advice on policies, procedures, and terms of employment.
- Support leaders on employment-related issues and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Attend formal meetings, support investigations, and handle sensitive matters.
- Undertake HR project work, coordinate training, and promote values.
- Ensure compliance with policies and maintain data accuracy.
Office Coordination:
- Provide operational support to the Management team.
- Manage day-to-day office tasks, meetings, and events.
- Support various business projects and handle ad-hoc tasks.
- Work with external partners for smooth office operations.
H&S Coordination:
- Maintain health and safety roles and support in organizing training.
- Coordinate and organise Display Screen Equipment (DSE) training.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- 3 years of HR and office administration experience; HR qualifications preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
Personal Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Polite, friendly attitude with strong motivational and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet targets and deadlines.
