We are looking for a HR and Business Operations Manager to join the team in this exciting role where you will be a crucial member of the Senior Management team, leading the back-office.
Position: HR and Business Operations Manager
Location: Bristol
Salary: GBP40,000 to GBP45,000 (dependent upon experience)
Hours: Full-time 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

About the Role
The role of the HR and Business Operations Manager is instrumental at the Youth Zone. This exciting role will be a crucial member of Youth Moves Senior Management team, leading the Youth Moves back-office function enabling the organisation to provide the best possible service to the young people that are supported. Key areas of focus will be recruiting for a growing team (as it grows from approx. 22 to over 70 staff in the next 2 years), setting up all new systems and also ensuring that the process runs as smoothly as possible for the brilliant team already at Youth Moves.
Once the new Youth Zone opens, you ll be a linchpin in the day-to-day operations.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and professional HR and Business Operations Manager who is passionate about making a positive difference in young people s lives, a problem solver who enjoys working in a fast paced and varied environment with:
a robust working knowledge of HR processes (in particular recruitment, retention and staff engagement with an understanding of implementing and reviewing policy, procedure and governance);experience in operational and people management;ability to oversee monthly financial processes (e.g.: invoicing and payments) and reportingan understanding of systems (for example CRM platforms or data bases such as Salesforce, time and attendance platforms such as UKG/Kronos, payroll functions & finance functions)
The successful candidate will be driven, hardworking, organised, a good communicator and equally comfortable supporting staff/volunteers, engaging with young people and with external partners where necessary. You will work closely with the Chief Executive, Senior Management team, Trustee Board and general team, to achieve a successful opening for the new youth zone, and then ongoing support to make the biggest impact in the medium to long-term.
In this role, you have access to ongoing training appropriate to your own needs in areas which are new to you and will be receiving support from a strong network of fellow peers across the network, in addition to advice and coaching from the People team on HR matters and the HR consultants that the charity use (where appropriate).

About the Organisation
As a youth-driven charity in South Bristol for almost two decades, we deliver the best for young people through our outstanding youth work. We currently work with around 1000 young people, aged 8-19 (up to 24 for those with additional needs) each year and when the Youth Zone opens that will increase to (Apply online only) young people each year.
Construction of South Bristol s Youth Zone, will soon begin and it will open in 2025. A new partnership has formed between this South Bristol youth charity and a national charity that believes all young people should have the opportunity to discover their passion and their purpose. This national charity fund and build state-of-the-art, multimillion-pound youth zones in the country s most economically disadvantaged areas.
