Role: HR Consultant

Sector: Public and Not-for-Profit

Duration: Until 31st March 2026

Location: Medway, ME4 4TR- Hybrid

Salary: £35,395 - £41614 per annum

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Consultant with experience is organisational design to join our client based in Medway. This role is offered on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days a week required onsite.

The Ideal HR Consultant will be responsible for co-ordinating and promoting the delivery of the HR Organisational Change in relation to the review of terms and conditions with a specific focus on pay and reward, organisational design and development, culture change and good practice within the organisation.

The duties of the HR Consultant include:

  • Supporting the Project Director, Project Manager and the HR Business Partner Team with the development and implementation of organisational change
  • Identifying risks and co-ordinate risk mitigation activities to ensure the successful delivery of the organisational change programme
  • Supporting the development of business cases for organisational change, undertake formal and informal staff consultation processes, ensuring that statutory requirements are met
  • Ensuring the effective co-ordination and delivery of administrative duties and financial/budget assessment to support the implementation of organisational change
  • Collating and presenting data for the project team, Corporate Management Team, senior and line managers to enable assessments and monitoring of progress against project objectives
  • Designing and delivering communication events such as training or awareness raising sessions through a variety of mediums

The HR Consultant will ideally have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience
  • Project Management qualification (desirable)
  • Experience of working in a public sector organisation is desirable
  • Experience of organisation redesign and restructure
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience and understanding of employment legislation

The HR Consultant will need to have excellent communication skills and effectively be able to communicate to stakeholders of all levels. Furthermore, the ideal candidate will have an impeccable eye for detail and accuracy to ensure all workload is carried out effectively and efficiently. They will also need to able to prioritise their workload and be efficient and effective to meet unpredictable deadlines and deal with conflicting demands, whilst working in a high-pressured environment.
