Links Recruitment present a fantastic opportunity for a HR Generalist to join strong team and develop within a continuously growing company who achieve their goals year on year. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR Generalist activities whilst working with and providing support and advice to employees at all levels within the business, whilst working to achieve the plant HR strategies and objectives.
The Role:
- Remain aware of and advise others on HR policies and procedures, legislative changes, additions/amendments to employment rights/regulations and best practice to facilitate professional supervision of employees.
- Undertake and take responsibility for projects that support the annual plant objectives along with adopting a continuous improvement attitude towards the department
- Identify, facilitate solutions and provide guidance to those dealing with employment matters such as performance, conduct, discipline, grievance, discrimination claims, unfair treatment etc, maintaining accurate records and so called 'paper trails'
- Organising and supporting in disciplinary hearings, ensuring fairness, consistency and adherence to policy. Advising managers on appropriate outcomes up to and including dismissal.
- Support and provide coaching to the managers, supervisors and team leaders in HR related matters as they arise to resolve issues fairly, consistently and within company policies
- Assist and oversee full recruitment process. Working with relevant Manager to design EJD and vacancy advertisement, supporting and conducting interviews and making offers of employment.
- Support other HR functions such as training, H&S and payroll
- Deputise for the HR Manager where required
- Facilitating new starter process including writing and issuing contracts of employment, preparing relevant new starter pack, communicating starter information and delivering induction.
- Support in ensuring that new starters and leavers are processed correctly upon commencement and departure in SAP HR, Crown.
- Supporting the organisation of bi annual business updates to the workforce
- Provide absence cover for the HR Advisor Systems and Reporting to ensure continuity of baseline HR KPI's reporting internally and externally to the plant
Skills:
- CIPD qualified or working towards (desirable)
- Degree in HRM or similar (desirable)
- Strong HR Advisor experience in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
- Adherence and promotion of best practice application to the business requirements.
- Ability to build positive relationships with Managers, colleagues and representatives
- Ability to understand HR issues arising from operational management issues and advise managers appropriately and persuasively on the action they should take
- A good sound knowledge of employee relations and a proven track record in delivering business-focussed HR solutions is essential.
- Have a good solid foundation in employment law and understanding of its application in a business context
- Able to ensure fairness, consistency, accuracy and best practice in the application of all HR policies.
- A confident communicator, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good IT skills – Word, Excel, and MS Outlook
- Self-motivated and proactive with excellent organisational skills
Salary: £43,000
37 Hours - 8am to 4:30pm Mon-Thurs, 8am to 1pm on Fridays.

Salary: £40,000.00-£43,000.00 per year
