HR & Payroll Officer – Manufacturing – Newtownabbey

MCS Group is delighted to be working in partnership with a market leader in their field.

My client is recruiting for an Hr & Payroll officer on a full-time permanent basis, located at their site in Newtownabbey.

The successful candidate will be working alongside and reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, the HR Officer will be responsible for the HR function and delivery of core HR activities in a busy manufacturing organisation.

The role & responsibilities

The Hr & Payroll Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of HR & Payroll function, acting as the first point of contact for HR related queries from employees and on matters relating to organisational development processes and employee relation issues.

• Continuously improving all HR processes, procedures and policies.
• Reviewing and implementing employment policies and advice on disciplinary and absence matters
• Processing the company payroll systems and associated records as directed
• Maintaining personnel records and associated information in a secure structured filing system
• Implement the company’s recruitment and selection system, to include advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, fair employment monitoring and dealing with recruitment agencies in filling vacant positions.
• Producing accurate human resources information and reports
• To lead and participate in HR related improvement projects across the group of companies

The successful candidate

• 2 years of generalist HR experience
• An HR or closely related degree is desirable
• The ability to work autonomously
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Willing to learn payroll processing
• CIPD membership is desirable
