The role will be responsible for the co-ordination of the recruitment & selection processes including effective onboarding and induction, producing and maintaining all HR paperwork/systems that underpins our policies including processing starters, changes and assisting with correspondence. You will report into the HR Onboarding & Recruitment Officer whilst also providing administrative support to the HR Team. This role also supports the customer service team.
As this is an apprenticeship you will be supported on the job with no college attendance to achieve the HR tools and become a skilled member of the team. You will need to be a strong team player and willing to roll up your sleeves to support all HR activity.
This is an extremely fast paced at times pressurised role due to our current growth and acquisition plans. This is not a sedentary administrative position and is certainly for someone who thrives on a challenge and a buzz.
The Role:
As a member of the HR and Support Services team, you will play an integral role in providing HR support to the wider business throughout the employee life cycle in an efficient and performance focused manner. You will act as the liaison between Payroll, HR, Managers/Supervisors, and the employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions.
What you will be responsible for?
HR administration to include contract of Employment, Amendments to Terms & Conditions and job Offers.
Assist the HR Team with the development and administration of HR systems and procedures.
Man the overflow calls from reception team providing excellent customer service.
Assist in all aspects of staff recruitment.
Assist in new starter on-boarding and inductions.
Administration of timesheets, leave and absence data.
Act as the first line of contact for employee queries.
Produce and update employee documentation.
To provide administration support to the HR team in an effective and efficient manner.
Work collaboratively with the HR team to ensure that business priorities are met.
Process all documentation and correspondence relating to employee life cycle matters in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to Company procedures.
Liaise and provide information to other departments with regards to new starters, leavers, holidays, pay rate change details.
Create spreadsheets and graphs; input data; analyse information and translate in report form.
Process and update all exit documentation in a timely manner.
Support the team in delivering HR projects and initiatives, as required.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR documents, and services.
Provide cover when other team members are on annual leave or absent.
Attend all Careers Fairs and Events.
Manage Recruitment email inbox.
Minute Taking for All Meeting with HR Officer
Organise & assist with all work experience students.
What Knowledge, Skills & Abilities do you require?
Must have a level 4 in Maths and English.
Personable demeanour to ensure employee always feel the HR department is approachable.
Good attention to detail.
Excellent MS office skills
administration experience preferred not essential and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Confident, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with managers at all levels within a business.
Discretion and the ability to work with sensitive information/ data while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
Ability to meet deadlines and respond positively to pressure.
Must have a Driving Licence
