As the HR Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advising on all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This includes informal case management, utilizing professional HR and legislative knowledge, coaching, and influencing to ensure our staff are managed, inspired, and well-supported as we expand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day queries, providing professional advice on a variety of HR matters such as pay, attendance, working patterns, and performance management.
  • Ensure effective delivery of internal and external resourcing and recruitment, offering pragmatic advice and support to managers.
  • Conduct and coordinate interviews and assessments, providing input and professional advice to decision-making and feedback processes.
  • Contribute to stress prevention and support positive mental health in the business.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all visitors to the HR Department.
  • Assist in fostering continuous improvement within the department.
  • Manage or provide support on informal casework, including sickness absence and performance management.
  • Collaborate closely with Managing Directors, Marketing & Design department to create a strategic and visually strong HR department, ensuring a consistent and integrated HR service across the organization.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of HR learning and personal development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to positively influence outcomes aligned with business strategy, values, and applicable policies.
  • Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Person Specification: Essential

  • Current, relevant experience in an operational HR role, preferably in a diverse and challenging environment.
  • Appropriate CIPD Qualification or equivalent skills and knowledge gained from working in an HR role, demonstrating expertise in Policies & procedures, Compensation, Rewards & benefits, Employee relations, industrial relations, organizational change, and employment law.
  • Proficiency in using HR software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information persuasively, influence, counsel, support, or challenge individuals at all levels, often in sensitive circumstances while treating information confidentially.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing a range of casework.
  • Keenness to stay updated with HR literature and subscriptions in industry magazines and reports.
