We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Health & Safety Advisor to join their team in Luton.
As a H&S Advisor you will be supporting the Senior Health & Safety Advisor in monitoring contractor safety performance and compliance across all sites, undertaking due diligence checks, audits and site visits when required.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Produce and create RAMS
* Provide advice and guidance to applicable teams on the requirements of the CDM health and safety file
* Collate the information for the Operating Manuals
* Undertake site visits themselves or alongside the external health and safety advisors,
* Chair Health and Safety meetings in the office with the contract managers
The ideal candidate must:
*Be professionally competent with a minimum of NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate
* Demonstrable construction knowledge, with an understanding of construction / maintenance terminology and processes, H&S legislation applicable to construction
*Strong prioritisation skills with the ability to meet deadlines within a busy, target driven environment
*Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and standard Microsoft programmes
*Ability to clearly communicate messages/instructions
*Ability to plan and manage workload to meet deadlines
