H&S Advisor

My client is a project management company with Offices located in Lancashire & Yorkshire. They specialise in retail & commercial fitouts nationwide, working for major Blue-chip clients.
Now is a great time to join them as they look to undertake some exciting and varied projects.
Currently we are seeking a H&S Adviser who has previous experience in retail fit out & construction projects.
The role will be predominantly supporting the delivery teams in various locations throughout the UK and you will be required to stay away from home on occasions
H&S Adviser Requirements:
Previously experience as a H&S Advisor / Principle Designer
* Must have a construction background
o Must have a relevant qualification in H&S management, NEBOSH
General, NEBOSH Construction
- Technical lOSH as a minimum Working towards Grad IOSH
+ Previous experience working on large retail fit out projects would be preferred
Key Accountabilities
o Understand and assist with maintaining ISO accreditations
o Ability to manipulate H&s data to identity trends and target creas
* Produce H&S Bulletins and contribute articles for the newsletter
o Produce Construction Phase Plans
o Provide training for Site Managers across the business to improve H&S
Standards
o Ensure Audas policies & procedures are implemented
* Lidise with client H&s Director/ Compliance Director and others in the team
* Involvement in internal site H&S meetings
* Attend client H&S meetings
o Complete CP and review updates
o Work closely with client safety teams
o Complete out of hours safety audits
o Review contractor RA/MS
o Assist with closing any audit actions
o Assist with accident investigation reporting
o Develop and nurture a network of peers within business
o Assist Supply chain understanding SHEQ policy is understood and implemented
* Pre-qualification checks on supply chain member
