Health & Safety Advisor
The Opportunity:
Are you an experienced and NEBOSH qualified Health, Safety & Environmental Officer looking for a stimulating, hands on role?  You must be good at implimenting systems and procedures, as well as completing the required audits and paperwork.  It is essential that you have previously worked as a H&S Advisor or Officer within an engineering, manufacturing or production facility.
Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and improve the health and safety system of this well established manufacturing business in Exeter to all established legislation and certifications.
• Review/Manage and Improve the Environmental Management system in line with ISO 14001.
• Manage the H&S system compliance to ensure the wellbeing and safety of all staff/ visitors and contractors.
• Ensure legal compliance to all H&S/ Environmental regulations and laws.
• Proactively stay up to date with current practices/ legislation/legal requirements/case studies relating to H&S/ Environment

Preferred Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety lead role in a manufacturing company
• Qualification in Occupational Health NEBOSH or degree in H&S/ Risk management
• Ability to perform risk assessments/ accident investigations.
• A genuine interest in and understanding of environmental issues, relevant legislation & renewable energy sources
• Ability to write policies/procedures/bulletins & H&S newsletter
