Salary: £30,000- £38,000
Shifts: Monday – Friday 8.00am-4.00pm (early finish Fridays)

Prime Responsibilities
- Ensure legal compliance with Health and Safety and Environmental legislation and law.
- Ensure risk assessments are completed and reviewed
- Identify H & S and Environmental training requirements and implement a detailed training plan.
- Ensure accident reporting is completed correctly including RIDDOR, monitor accidents and review trends.
- Chair monthly Health and Safety Committee Meetings
- Carry out new starters site inductions and set up online training.
- Maintain and improve the companies Environmental Management System.
- Compile by the 5th working day of the month a detailed H & S and Environmental report at Board level.
- Ensure the company is kept updated for requirements and legislation.
- Identify and recommend Environmentally friendly initiatives including cost / benefit analysis.
- Carry out major incident simulation at least twice a year and review procedures to ensure they are adequate.
General Responsibilities
- Participate in team meetings as required.
- Conform to Company health & safety, environmental and personnel procedures.
Essential skills and experience:
- NEBOSH General Certificate along with experience of undertaking a similar role in a manufacturing, engineering or warehouse and logistics setting.
- Confident to lead meetings, with good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of PUWER regulations is desirable
- Ideally experience with Environmental disciplines, but this can come with training / development
