Elevation Recruitment Group are currently partnered with one of the World's leading manufacturers and distributors of products to the healthcare industry. This exciting role as HSE Manager will be home-based but with regular travel across their 3 manufacturing sites within the North/Midlands.
The HSE Manager is responsible for developing and implementing health and safety plans, enforcing policies, assessing risk, and ensuring compliance with legal guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for HSE across 3 x manufacturing sites within the UK
- Develop the HSE for manufacturing which ensures a safe and healthy working environment and culture for all employees.
- Ensure that the HSE management systems are implemented and maintained across the manufacturing footprint.
- Be the sponsor and subject matter expert for the UK manufacturing HSE platform.
- Lead the interface with applicable government agencies relating to HSE matters
- Identify internal or external non-compliance to regulations or company standards
- Identify any staff development opportunities and lead any training that is required
- Use continuous improvement techniques to improve and sustain the health, safety & environmental performance and management system
- Ensure incident investigations are conducted promptly including root cause analysis and corrective action is undertaken
- Assist and support in the creation, implementation and review of Risk Assessments, safe working procedures and method statements
- Creation and delivery of the company safety strategy across all sites
I'm keen to speak to HSE Managers with the following skills:
- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent)
- Experience in engineering/manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills
- Practical experience in managing health & safety
- Ideally fabrication, welding, and painting processes knowledge
