HSEQ AdvisorElgin£30,000 - £40,000
To assist the Head of HSEQ with the management of health, safety, environment and quality regarding all health and safety topics and processes in relation to all areas of the business, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory regulations
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Development and review of all outstanding HSEQ ProceduresConduct regular audits of facilities toolbox talk/dynamic risk review and isolation's auditsAssist with HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA and COMAH applicationAssist the compliance and infrastructure department team in following up on external audits in relation to implementing projects to resolve compliance mattersAssist the Compliance and Infrastructure Dept team in following up on external audits in relation to implementing projects to resolve compliance mattersGenerate regular updates to colleagues on HSE stats and develop relevant training packages as requiredassist with the roll out and continual management of the accident/incident softwareAssist with accident/incident and near miss investigations and the development of SMART actions to prevent recurrence and drive continual improvementActively participate in the development of an environmental management systemAssist with developing occupational health management programmes including but not limited to Asbestos Mgmt and Legionella Mgmt plansAssist with the development of employee safety representatives across the business and implement their role within health and safety consultation process.Person Specification
For this role it is required that you have the following knowledge, skill and experience:-IOSH or NEBOSH certificate qualification or equivalentRelevant experience of working within a Health & Safety roleAuditing skills and relevant auditing experienceExperience in holding safety team briefingsCurrent driving licenseCDM awarenessCOMAH and DSEAR qualification or experiencePreviously been involved in HAZOP/LOPA reviewsHACCP qualification or experienceExperience in coaching colleagues in the development of a safety behavioural programmeAsbestos course P402 of equivalentAwareness of legionella managementManual handling trainerKnowledge - Demonstrable knowledge of HSEQ topics, good working knowledge of MO to ECDL level, working knowledge of procurement and negotiating contracts, competent research, analytical and problem solving skills, IT literate to ECDL standard.
