Job description

Our Client are specialists in digital signage solutions and have designed, installed and maintained a vast array of large format screens throughout the UK and Europe in Transport Hubs, DOOH, shopping malls, Corporate and hospitality environments and major retailers. Due to expansion they are now looking to recruit a HSEQ Manager within the business.
As HSEQ Manager , you will be responsible for their combined management system of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality processes and policies in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 and 45001:2018.
You will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement and annual re-qualification of these accreditations.
As a key role of responsibility, you will oversee all works reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements, approving contractors' RAMS, and promote best practices. They often work within the construction industry and it is vital that there is knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations.
You will work alongside the Operations Director to ensure all legislation surrounding Health, Safety and Environment is met and processes communicated internally, as well managing all internal and external audits to achieve accreditation and monitor operational performance.
This role requires the individual to have a passion for providing excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Additionally, you must hold a previous work history in a similar role.
This role requires travel throughout the UK and Europe.
This is a key position at and carries with it a responsibility to maintain theur reputation with new and existing clients.
Role Responsibilities
* Health and Safety
* General office based H&S including strategy & training
* Supporting CDM regulation requirements
* Monitoring and improvement of H&S practices and procedures.
* Identify and Understand health, safety, and environment legal requirements that are relevant and ensure compliance.
* Effectively manage all relevant recognised accreditations across the business.
* Overall responsibility of health, safety and environmental practices.
* Provide effective coaching and mentoring to colleagues and contractors.
* Support the review of RAMs, Construction phase plans, Traffic management plans, Safe systems of work and other key construction risk management documentation and where required produce
* Provide evidence to clients and submit compliant Pre-Qualification Questionnaires as required.
* Embed a culture of conformity to Health & Safety policies and procedures across the business.
* Overall responsibility of all incident and accident reporting and investigations.
* Auditing and monitoring
* Complete internal quality, environment and H&S Policy audits for ISO accreditations
* Conduct site audits on Operations teams to ensure monitoring and continuous improvement as and when required.
* Organise external independent health and safety site audits
* Support the arrangement of drug and alcohol testing.
* Quality Management
* Management of their ISO and Safe Contractor Management Systems
* Chair of the Quality Management Team
* Obtain new accreditations as required by the business
* Support Line Managers in the process of quality-checking their products and services
* Environmental Management
* Ensure compliance with ISO
14001:2015
.
* Manage waste streams and liaise with waste management contractors to secure data for analysis by ther clients and internally.
* Reduce carbon emissions consistently and implement new processes to reduce waste to landfill.
General Responsibilities
* Support with H&S training
* Communicate information from Management to Departments and Suppliers
* Writing and applying for permits - Process Owner
* Supply chain support in line with their ISO Standards
Essential experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Good IT knowledge (Inc Microsoft Office/ Google products)
* The ability to work using your own initiative as well as working within a team
* Flexibility
* The ability to build relationships and influence people at all levels
* Problem solving skills
* Strong organisational skills
* Excellent punctuality
* Knowledge and understanding of CDM regulations
* Proven experience within a similar HSEQ construction role
* TechIOSH Accredited
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate
* Membership of IEMA or IOSH (preferred)
* Up to date knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
* Preferred experience with UKAS auditing requirements
* Ability to make decisions under pressure and deal with complaints
* Ability to remain objective and provide factual and informative information.
* Clean and full driving license
