Ganymede have been engaged to assist their client, a Leading Rail Principal Contractor in their search for a strategically minded HSQE Manager, to join their award winning HSQE Team!
The Company
Established 50 years ago, this organisation is currently expanding due to contract wins across the UK within their Rail Business, including civil engineering and ground maintenance. As the company continues to grow, they are investing in the future, by implementing sustainability initiatives to ensure they continue to strive in being carbon neutral and donating to environmental and sustainability funds within the UK.
The Role
As the Regional H&S Manager, you will be responsible for rail projects and sites between Birmingham to Oxford, and across the Colchester, therefore you location isn't an issue, as long as you are happy to travel. You will be working closely to Network Rail standards, and ensuring teams and sub-contractors are adhering to policies and procedures.
Not only will you be ensuring the safety of the teams in the field, but you will also be championing a positive health & safety culture, as well as managing internal audits and carrying out site inspections. You will lead on accident and incident investigations, understanding root causes, and implementing training to change processes where needed.
About You
* As this role will be working along side Network Rail, it is fundamental that you have a great understanding of Rail regulations.
* Hold you GRAD IOSH and working towards CMIOSH or already achieved CMIOSH
* Ability to be able to both act and work strategically on larger scale projects and well as being happy on site when required.
* Thorough understanding of CDM 2015 is also required
