Castlefield Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading Public Sector organisation based in the West of England that requires an experienced Human Resources Operations Manager on a permanent basis. The organisation offers an excellent Public Sector pension option, combined with a hybrid working model.

Reporting into the Associate Director of Human Resources, the post holder will be responsible for leading the HR Advisory Team and delivering a comprehensive HR service to the organisation..

Key responsibilities will include;

• Act as the front-line contact for key stakeholders, building effective working relationships and promoting positive and timely communication with internal and external partners
• Provide robust and effective day to day line management for the People Advisory Team; supporting and developing staff, carrying out 1-1s and appraisals, ensuring appropriate service delivery at all times
• Provide subject matter expertise to Trust management on complex and sensitive issues in accordance with best practice, policies and procedures and legislation
• Develop and lead on specific Employee Relations initiatives, projects and systems. Develop and implement policies to support the overall People & OD strategy
• Ensure that a culture of continuous professional development is fostered and supported within the People Advisory Team to ensure opportunities for progression and professional accreditation
• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to escalate relevant Employee Relations casework and identify relevant trends within their respective directorates
• Research and interpret existing and emerging employment legislation, case law and policy information to inform and advise managers within the Trust, including contributing to the HR Policy Group as required
• Responsible for the maintenance and optimal use of the employee relations casework system, ensuring appropriate records are maintained, reviewed and updated in accordance with data protection legislation and best practice guidance.

Key experiences and skills to include;

• CIPD Level 7 Qualification
• Degree level education or equivalent
• Significant experience in an operational HR role
• Substantial experience of managing and leading staff
• A thorough and up to date knowledge of employment law and demonstrable experience of its pragmatic application
• Experience interpreting and advising on Local and National terms and conditions, policies and procedures
• Good understanding and practical experience of managing equality, diversity and inclusion issues
