My client is a rapidly growing and people focussed facilities management firm with an impressive array of national accounts.  They are on the lookout for a HVAC Commissioning Engineer.   

Reporting into the Project Director – the main aim is to support clients with their HVAC installation requirements. As HVAC Commissioning Engineer, you will be a key member in support of this purpose by owning, managing, and delivering the quality and commissioning plans of HVAC installation in support of a national client-base.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to complete all activities to a high standard and in a timely professional manner. You will need to have an eye for detail, a thirst for learning and development and be able to challenge others clearly, effectively, and professionally with safety and quality at the forefront of your mind.

Role outline:

  • Undertaking all aspects of commissioning of commercial HVAC equipment to manufacturing specifications and local regulations. This includes full examinations of installations from TTFM and subcontractors.
  • Production of Commissioning reports, snag reports, defect reports, and coordinate lessons learnt to improve overall quality and delivery.
  • Standardise the O&M Manual structure and submission process. You will be responsible for the close down and submission of these documents to the coordinator in preparation for invoicing and billing.
  • Spot check and quality audit the ongoing projects to ensure adherence to safety and quality requirements.
  • Support technical aspects of project and assist in trouble shooting where required.
  • Provide assistance to engineers and clients during error alerts system failures.
  • Supporting clients nationally and attending client sites across mainland UK.
  • Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable timeframes.

About you:

  • Experience working on a range of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration equipment including VRVs, VRFs, Splits and Chillers.
  • Experience working with and commissioning major manufacturers i.e. Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy, Daiken, Midea, Samsung etc.
  • CSCS card & SSSTS / Supervisor / Team Leader experience.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Equipment.
  • Building Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industry.
  • Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities.
  • Basic plumbing and building material skills/knowledge.
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • IPAF & PASMA.
  • Experience working with other HVAC systems such as ASHP, Gas installations, LPHW air circulation is desirable.
