Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building services, particularly in HVAC systems. You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of mechanical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical and HVAC projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and develop comprehensive estimates.
- Conduct site visits and assessments to understand the scope of work and identify potential challenges.
- Prepare and present cost estimates and bid proposals to clients and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and labor costs.
- Identify and evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
- Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in the building services industry, with a focus on HVAC systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems, materials, and installation practices.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
