Working for global business within the nuclear industry the HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for executing all installation tasks in accordance with the defined scope of work. This role involves the completion of assigned tasks from the HVAC Working Supervisor, ensuring professionalism and adherence to the site's safety culture.
The HVAC Installation Technician is expected to carry out their duties diligently, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to the overall success of HVAC installations within the designated work area.
Continuous professional development and a commitment to maintaining necessary certifications are essential aspects of this role.
Skills, Understanding and Knowledge:
Essential:
- NVQ Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline (HVAC / SMW / Mechanical, etc.) Preferred
- Practical assessment / Skills screen
- Demonstrable Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (Blue Card Skilled Worker)
- Demonstrable air flow checks experience
- SC/DV Security Clearance Useful
- Demonstrable HVAC equipment performance testing and balancing experience
- Demonstrable HVAC system mechanical completion & commissioning experience
Training Requirements:
As part of the onboarding process, the HVAC Installation Technician must complete the following prerequisite training and obtain security clearance before mobilization to the site:
- Security Clearance and P4 pass application
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme Blue Card
- NSAN Triple Bar Existing Sites (TBES)
- HSEQ Training
- PPE Face fit and Eye fit checks
