Guess what? This role is one of those ‘Sometimes’ roles.
We’re working with the UHNW founders Assistant who we recruited and who we’re huge fans of and we know all of the reasons why she loves working there and she’s leading the way on the recruitment process for this brand-new role.
The UHNW founder has recently created a family office and it’s GO GO GO with the recent appointment of an absolute POWERHOUSE CIO and we want to recruit the new CIO an equally epic Assistant to support them in the development of the new investment fund.
The Family Office will follow a similar DNA to the Founder, a high-stakes risk taker with a proven ability to see the right deals at the right time and with a track record of success that almost defies logic or belief.
This approach will be managed day-to-day by the new CIO who has only recently joined so everything is new – a new office, a new team, new processes, new ideas and we now need a new Assistant.
You’ll work closely with the Founder, and his team (including his long-standing Executive Assistant) to create a business and team that matches the very high expectations.
The good news is that dynamic, entrepreneurial thinking is at the core and in 2024 this role offers a rare opportunity for hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 remote) on a standard week. This can and will change at deal time, and when needed but that will be the exception.
The EA role will be built upon what we call ‘classic’ foundations, an EA role that as the business develops will have the chance to grow, but this will take time and your ability to progress is limited to the development of the wider team, business, and office, so you’ll need patience and loyalty as the plans begin to take shape (and take shape they will!)
Your role will be a central lynchpin across the CIOs personal, business, and wider life but you’ll also have the chance to spread your wings across the developments, you’ll be the eyes and ears and you’ll be leaned on heavily as things start to go from busy to REALLY busy.
Given the academic background of the Founder and CIO they tend to recruit people with strong academic results, and whilst this is not set in stone, we felt it right to share this from the outset. In addition, people who have worked within a fund-based organisation previously will also stand a better chance of being shortlisted.
