Job description

A procurement project then needs to be initiated to develop tender documents and vendors invited to participate. Ultimately a new system will be selected and then implemented. This last phase is not part of the initial assignment but may well be added, subject to a contract extension. As you will take control of this process you must be someone who can organise and drive projects from initiation to completion. An ability to understand current and target processes and data requirements and the features/requirements of new systems will be a core skill. In addition you will possess the interpersonal skills that allow for engagement with senior stakeholders, external suppliers and fellow team members. The organisation is Preston based but you will work largely from home. This is initially a 6 month part-time (likely 2/3 days per week) contract.
