Role Definition
This opening is for a Design Engineer in the Wheeled Products Hydraulic Installation team focused on Articulated Trucks. Hydraulic Installation comprises placement and retention of hydraulic components (pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, etc.) and designing connections between these components to create a fully functional hydraulic system. You will have an opportunity to direct and participate in the design and development of new product concepts and complex engineering projects for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic systems, plus 6 Sigma experience and familiarity are desirable proficiencies.

Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Knowledge of tools and techniques of specialized graphics programs; ability to produce, analyze, simulate and test product design drafts.
Product Design - MFG: Knowledge of processes, approaches, tools and techniques of product design; ability to convert customer and market requirements into product design.
Product Design and Development: Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
Level Working Knowledge:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or another closely related engineering or engineering technology field and 2-5 years in progressive engineering assignments
- In lieu of an accredited engineering degree, 9-12 years in progressive engineering assignments relevant to mobile hydraulic system design and development in order for the candidate to demonstrate a mastery of complex engineering and manufacturability concepts.
Top Candidates will also have:
- Must be able to read a hydraulic schematic and understand how complex hydraulic systems operate.
- Must have a good mechanical aptitude with ability to develop product concepts
- Requires strong leadership ability and good communications skills
High level of proficiency in Pro/E or other modeling or simulation tools
