ICT Technician, Information Technology based in Coventry, salary FTE GBP19,698 to GBP24,000 (pro-rata), Term time only contract.

We are an IT support company based in Coventry. We specialise within the education sector and provide a wide range of services to assist schools to utilise technologies in and out of classrooms.
We are looking to appoint an ICT Technician to work with an established and dynamic team where you will be working together to further develop and promote the use of the latest technologies and software to facilitate an enhanced teaching and learning experience alongside administrative efficiency.
The role will include providing first line hardware and software support, second line support to investigate and resolve issues, supporting ticket logging, asset management, general IT administrative and other IT facility services as a member of a team.
This is a term time only, permanent position working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. ICT TechnicianMain Duties:
- Responding to requests submitted via the online helpdesk.
- Local and remote installation of software applications and maintenance.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with PCs, portable devices, printers, peripherals and specialist ICT hardware.
- Providing classroom support for pupils and staff for the operation of ICT equipment.
- Installation of network cabling.
- Performing switch and routing diagnosis.
- Supporting in lessons for staff and students.
- Installation of new hardware and software.
- Setup equipment such as laptops, projectors, interactive whiteboards, PA systems and other specialist ICT equipment.
- Assisting teachers in integrating technology into their lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Training educators on the use of educational technology tools and resources
- Assisting with creating a planned and structured approach with regards to the upgrading of hardware or software and testing before use.
- Maintaining records regarding software licensing information.
- Fulfilling and undertaking any further ICT duties which may be required.
ICT TechnicianNecessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- Confident user of a majority of hardware and operating systems, the post-holder must have a good level of knowledge or experience in the following;
- Windows Operating Systems & Windows Server Operating Systems
- Apple iOS and Android OS.
- Chrome OS
- Google Workspace for Education
- Microsoft Office 365
- Full, valid UK/EU driving licence with use of own car is essential (or access to own transport).
- Willingness to further your knowledge in Information Technology.
- Experience of working in the education and/or public sector is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and written.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexibly.
- High attention to detail.
- A pro-active approach towards identifying problems and requirement.
- Ability to take ownership of your own workload.
