IDAM Administrator

About the role

The Identity and Access (IDAM) Administrator is a new role and will be part of a wider team that looks after information security and identity and access management for the University. As we are looking to expand Tier 1 support within the team, we are recruiting to 5 new IDAM Administrator posts. The Identity and Access Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day management of user identities, access privileges and provisioning processes. They handle user onboarding, modifications and offboarding, ensuring timely and accurate access provisioning and deprovisioning based on UoM policies and procedures. In addition, IDAM Administrator will revoke access to system where there is no user activity/logon. The IDAM Administrator will also contribute to the development and maintenance of IDAM documentation, procedures and knowledge bases.

The person

You’ll have experience of working in a team that administers and manages an Active Directory environment and have an awareness of the identity and access lifecycle. You’ll possess a good understanding of JML process and role-based access control. You should be knowledgeable about identity and access management tooling and have prior experience of using an ITSM tool (preferably ServiceNow) to manage tickets and workflows. You should also have a basic understanding of connection technologies (e.g. SSH and RDP) and networking.
