Our client is currently seeking an experienced Imaging/Radiology Manager to take on a leadership role in the Imaging Department.
The appointed Imaging Manager will deliver imaging services to patients following established clinical referral criteria and protocols. Additionally, they will oversee a diagnostic referral service for medical professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the radiology service, ensuring the department operates efficiently and meets key performance indicators.
- Manage patient information in compliance with the Data Protection Act and client policies.
- Develop personal skills and contribute to the professional growth of the team.
- Advocate for best practices in health and safety, security, and service quality.
- Maintain a high level of service and uphold equality, diversity, and rights.
- Apply technology appropriately and adhere to healthcare standards.
- Implement effective stock management systems, working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance with financial instructions.
- Conduct audits and reviews of department performance, implementing action plans as needed.
- Drive the marketing of the imaging service, attracting consultants and meeting targets.
- Foster positive relationships with external organizations to standardize and share best practices.
- Embed Clinical Governance and risk management in daily practice.
- Diploma or Degree in Radiography.
- HCPC Registration.
- Substantial CPD in management and clinically related subjects.
- Previous senior-level experience in an imaging department.
- Leadership experience.
- Competency in diagnostic imaging skills with professional and clinical knowledge.
- Success in working with consultants to challenge and enhance existing practices.
- Financial awareness and management skills balancing quality care with a business focus.
- Knowledge of healthcare standards and external bodies such as the Care Quality Commission.
- Auditing skills in clinical standards and departmental operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to work in a commercial environment while maintaining safety standards.
- IT literacy, proficiency in the MS Office suite.
- Understanding of health policy and professional health agendas.
