MRP Systems Implementation Manager (Materials)

Type of role: Contract (Temp to Perm within 6-12 months)

Salary: Up to £25.00 per hour

Hours - 08:00 - 16:00 Monday - Friday (can be flexible)

Our client is a leading railway infrastructure company dedicated to delivering excellence in rail services and operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MRP Manager to support with the implementation and management of ERP systems, Bill of Materials and Continuous Improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • MRP (Stock status system) - ability to shape the platform and support with implementing this.
  • Bills of Materials structure and transparency from wing to wing.
  • Knowledge of Bill infrastructure
  • Continuous improvements
  • Data Analysis
  • Deliver production plans in line with operating parameters and costs whilst leading the site based team in support of the design and fitout of a new purpose built warehouse facility.
  • Ensure effective management and communication of any operational or procedural changes within the facility / operation whilst ensuring all employees focused to deliver against agreed plans and measures with respect to inventory management and logistics.
  • Promote all change initiatives or improvements in a timely manner to support optimum benefit to organisation and people within the warehouse operation.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven warehousing management experience in a similar role is essential
  • Strong people management skills - Previous experience of managing teams and ability to priorities.
  • SAP ERP and WMS systems experience - advantageous
  • Financial / Budgetary awareness.
  • Management and use of MHE.
  • Management / Warehouse / People Management qualification would be advantageous.
  • Strong industry continuous improvement skills and knowledge.
  • Possess a dynamic leadership attitude, supporting teams as needed and work together to add value and manage challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage, motivate and coach.
  • HSE qualification (such as IOSH / NEBOSH) - advantageous
  • Experience with SAP (Or similar WMS systems) - advantageous
  • Experience in working in a cross-cultural environment - advantageous
