About Our Client
Our client are a Swedish business in the Banking industry, established in 1871 and expanded throughout other areas of Europe and the UK. Operating in the UK since 1982 and now with over 160 offices, they provide a range of services to individual and corporate customers.
They are looking for someone for 12 months to cover on all Banking requirements within their legal function from Manchester on hybrid working arrangement.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Drafting and negotiating facility agreements
- Taking collateral as security;
- Drafting and negotiating priority arrangements;
- Deal structuring advice and resolving key transactional issues;
- Assistance with transaction management on complex deals;
- Ensuring transactions are delivered properly, efficiently and in a timely manner;
- Reviewing agreements prepared by external counsel;
- Disseminating knowledge and learning gained from transactions to ensure the Bank is up to date on trends, best practice and key market issues;
- Working with and maintaining meaningful relationships with external legal counsel.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal Banking Solicitor will be around 4 years PQE with experience within banking law. We are also looking for candidates who can work independently as well as in a team environment and can communicate effectively with stakeholders.
