In-House Legal Counsel

Your new company
It is a major international bank with offices spread out across the globe. The company has a fantastic reputation as one of the best places to work in London, with a strong majority of employees recommending the company as a place to work. You will be based in London City in their compliance team reporting to the Head of Legal. The team is relatively new to the business and will be growing during your contract.
Your new role
You will be in the compliance team handling a range of legal work stemming from commercial contracts and regulatory work. You will be reporting to the head of legal compliance and joining another Legal Counsel. The role will include drafting and negotiating commercial contracts with vendors and IT service providers. The role will also involve trade finance and other regulatory work. This will be on a part-time basis, working for three days a week. It will be a six-month contract with the chance it becomes permanent.
What you'll need to succeed

• At least 4+ PQE and experience working within a bank.
• Significant experience handling commercial contracts in relation to third party vendors and procurement.
• Trade Finance and supply chain finance experience.
• Familiarity with IT Service agreements.
• You will need to be immediately available to be considered for this position.

Once the initial part-time six-month contract is completed, there is scope for this role to become a permanent position.
