Position Overview:
At Barbour, we are looking for an Undergraduate Student to join our In-House Studio team at the South Shields Head Office. Throughout the 12-month period, the successful Student will play a key part in providing support to the Studio department and extended Global Marketing team by co-ordinating and assisting with the day-to-day running of the photography studio.
Studio Student Placement:
- Support the Producers, Stylists and Photographers in Managing the day-to-day requirements of the studio department
- Manage the request, booking in & out and up-keep of all studio stock and coordinate all seasonal stock takes
- Pull and prep samples for ecomm, social media and campaign shoots and troubleshoot any issues
- Upkeep of the studio stock room, ensuring all samples are organised correctly and accounted for
- On set all-rounder support for studio shoots (model ecommerce, catwalk video, social media, still life)
- Greeting and attending to all models, freelancers and studio visitors
- Assist styling team in Ecomm and Campaign pre outfitting sessions
- Support production team in model casting and proposals
- Booking all model transport to and from the studio
- Logging freelance expenses
- Support Ecomm Brand Manager in the creation of mood boards
- Ensure photography sets and styling areas are tidy and maintained
- Painting photography scoop and props
- Pull and organise props for campaign shoots
- Support photographers in styling and photographing still life assets
Skills and Experience:
- Applicants must currently be studying a related degree at university level.
- Able to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Pleasant and efficient telephone manner
- Strong organisational and time management ability
- Genuine interest in marketing and demonstrates a willingness to learn more.
- A focus on attention to detail.
- Comfortable working within a pressurised environment to achieve key deadlines.
- Competent on Microsoft office packages, particularly excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to establish relationships with people at all levels
- Experience of working in a professional environment answering phone calls and emails is desirable.
Additional Information:
- To apply for this placement, you must be currently studying an Undergraduate Sandwich Degree Course and able to undertake 12 months in industry as part of your course.
