An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Inclusion Leader to join our Leadership team at Glenfield Infant School, part of Hamwic Education Trust (HET).
We are a three form entry school set in beautiful woodlands close to Bitterne. We pride ourselves on our nurturing ethos which permeates throughout the school. We provide exciting opportunities across the curriculum to instill a love for learning. Our children are happy and enjoy school due to the commitment of our caring and dedicated staff. We are keen to maintain this momentum through the appointment of a dynamic Inclusion Leader.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, highly organised, impactful Inclusion Leader who shares our ambition to help all the pupils in our care achieve their fullest potential. We are a nurturing, inclusive school with a strong belief in well-being and mental health. You will lead a team of motivated and well trained learning support assistants and well as supporting other teaching staff.
You will be a key member of the Leadership Team you will be focused on securing strong outcomes for pupils with SEND. This will also involve leading on positive behaviour management strategies to promote a calm, caring ethos across the school.

WE ARE SEEKING A PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUAL WHO:
- Has experience of taking on the day-to-day responsibility for the operation of the SEND policy and coordination of the provision made for individual pupils with SEND, working closely with staff, parents/carers and other agencies.
- Can provide related professional guidance to colleagues with the aim of securing high quality teaching for children with SEN, achieve the best outcomes possible.
- Has experience as a line manager of teaching assistants and higher-level teaching assistants supporting their professional development and undertaking their performance management.
