Who we need

Nottingham College has been leading the way locally and nationally, in creating opportunities for home-educated students and school pupils to access a comprehensive range of study programmes in a Further Education setting. The 14-16 and Schools Team support these students on their learning journey from application, enrolment, and through to the successful completion of their course.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and self-motivated 14-16 Inclusion Officer, to join our high-performing and forward-thinking team, that has and continues to make a significant difference to the lives of students in the 14-16 community. As 14-16 Inclusion Officer, you will work closely with schools, parents and curriculum teams provide support to school students while on placement at college.

What you’ll bring

You will be passionate about the importance of education and the impact this has on life chances, with a belief that all students can achieve.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working with young people in a secondary school/alternative provision setting.
  • Experience of providing mentoring/coaching, advice, and guidance to disadvantaged young people.
  • Excellent communication skills to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effective organisation skills with the ability to manage and prioritise caseload.
  • Excellent IT skills to work efficiently with a range of systems and processes.
  • To use initiative and be responsive to customer queries and concerns.
