We have an exciting opportunity for an Independent Advocate to join our team as a bank worker, working on our Advocacy contracts in London.
If you have ever supported a family member or friend at a difficult meeting – if you have supported them to be listened to or have their voice heard - if you have ever challenged decisions made about them you have been an advocate!
It would be great if you have worked in advocacy, information and advice or similar role before, in a health, social care or voluntary setting but not essential. We need people who are first and foremost good communicators with a passion for supporting vulnerable people to have a voice.
In this role you will be supporting a wide range of vulnerable adults often with profound and multiple needs. You will need to have a flexible attitude and must be comfortable handling highly sensitive information whilst able to work well independently and confidently on behalf of others. Time management skills will be required and you will need to be computer literate. A full induction and training schedule along with IAP (Independent Advocacy Qualification) will be provided as well as peer mentoring and support from the London team.
Because of the nature and location of the role, applicants must live within the advertised area; Travel expenses will be paid once travelling for work purposes within London Zones 1- 6 only.

We are keen to fill this role. If you think this sounds like the ideal role for you, please apply as soon as possible as we may close this job advert early if we receive a high number of applications.
