Rate: £42ph Umbrella (Inside IR35)
Working Pattern: Hybrid- can work from home one day per week depending on the needs of the service
Hours: 37 hours per week
Our client is looking for the assistance of an experienced Independent Chair to join them for a three-month period initially. Please see below for further details:
Responsibilities:
- To chair Child Protection conferences and statutory reviews for Looked After Children in accordance with the Children Act 1989, Independent Reviewing Officer Guidance, requirements of the Children and Adoption Act 2002, Care Planning Regulations, Independent Reviewing Officer Handbook 2010, Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000, Children Act 2004, Working Together 2013; and to develop outcome focused plans
- To chair Children in Care reviews
- To implement the guidance from the IRO Handbook statutory guidance for Independent Reviewing Officers and Local Authorities in relation to case management and review for children in care
- To ensure that the quality of casework presented to the service is monitored and that managers at all levels within Childrens Social Care are made aware of any cases that do not meet professional standards
- To maintain effective administrative systems within timescales and to ensure that the records of meetings are of a high standard and accurately reflect the discussion and decision making at those meetings
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS
- Social Worker qualification and registration
- Previous experience as an Independent Chair
