We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Indian Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to our exciting menu offerings.
Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Indian Chef with a minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing authentic Indian cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Indian culinary traditions, creativity in menu development, and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes that delight our customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Menu Development:
o Create and innovate Indian-inspired dishes that align with our restaurant's concept and customer preferences.
o Develop seasonal menus and daily specials to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
2. Food Preparation:
o Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and vegetarian options, with precision and attention to detail.
o Ensure consistency in flavor, presentation, and portion sizes.
3. Kitchen Management:
o Oversee all aspects of the Indian kitchen, including ordering ingredients, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
o Train and mentor kitchen staff in Indian cooking techniques and recipes.
4. Quality Control:
o Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all dishes meet our standards of excellence.
o Address any issues or concerns regarding food quality or presentation promptly and effectively.
5. Adherence to Regulations:
o Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
o Maintain accurate records of food temperatures, storage, and sanitation practices.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an Indian Chef in a restaurant setting.
· In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
· Creativity and innovation in menu development.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
