Indirect Buyer

The Situation

Ford & Stanley are currently partnered with a rolling stock maintenance specialist who work out of a large purpose-built facility; with a diverse set of capabilities, they require a variety of indirect services and so are looking for an Indirect Buyer to manage the process. You will be responsible for procuring all indirect products and services within the business.

This role is a fixed term contract until April 2025.

Responsibilities and Role details

• You will be looking for cost-saving opportunities and execute purchase orders in line with given timelines.
• You will support the development of supplier relationships and play a key role in evaluation of offers and negotiations.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in an In-Direct Procurement role. Manufacturing experience is desirable.
• Contract Management experience.
• Proficient user of SAP or similar MRP Systems
• Confident user of Microsoft Excel
• CIPS or other Procurement Qualifications is desirable.

Location & Working Model

• Milton Keynes
• Hybrid working (2 days remote per week)

Salary

• £30,000 - £36,000 per year
• This role is a fixed term contract until April 2025.
