We aim to be the primary point of contact for advice and support to the fire and rescue community, putting beneficiaries at the heart of everything we do.

Role Description

As our Individual Giving Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the Individual Giving strategy at the charity.

You will manage and oversee campaigns acquiring, retaining, and developing donors across both the Fire and Rescue Services community, and public donors.

You will deliver long term sustainable income growth in partnership with other Fundraising Managers and contribute to the development and delivery of strategic projects, proactively working towards the achievement of shared organisational and fundraising objectives, that put the donor experience at the heart of all communications.

You will identify opportunities and create targeted fundraising campaigns for supporters through ‘digital first’ campaign options to increase donor recruitment, and donor engagement. 

You will line manage a small team of experienced Individual Giving Officers, and together develop products based on targeted analysis of individual cash giving, regular giving, and lottery sign-ups/recruitment. 


About you

You will be based out of our Head Office in Basingstoke, with flexibility to have a hybrid arrangement to work from home up to 3 days a week.

To be successful you will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience and knowledge of direct marketing, donor management, relationship fundraising, and end to end Individual Giving campaigns.
  • Leadership and people management skills, including relationship building, negotiation and influencing.
  • Experience of working collaboratively and cross-functionally to deliver a range of complex projects.
  • Experience of proactively managing external agency relationships
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex data and financial information, using data insights to inform best practice.
  • Ability to be target focussed with experience of producing budgets, and of managing and controlling significant income and expenditure budgets.
  • Highly skilled use of Salesforce / or other CRM system and use of digital media for acquisition. 
  • Knowledge of the fire and rescue community is a bonus.

If you have a qualification in direct marketing, marketing, or a certificate in fundraising, these will be an advantage for your application.

This role is subject to a satisfactory Standard DBS check.
