Industrial Electrician (Contracts)

£19.41 per hour

Ayrshire, Edinburgh and Glasgow

TM Scotland are excited to be recruiting on behalf of our brand new client who specialise in harnessing the power of local renewables and delivering technical services to businesses in the private and public sectors across the UK.

Our client is looking for experienced Industrial electricians to join their team on an ongoing basis in which you will be involved in both part refurbishment and part new build projects through-out Scotland.

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday – 7.30am to 4pm

Friday – 7.30am to 1pm

Duties and Responsibilities of an Industrial Electrician:

• Identifying electrical problems and repairing them
• Advising the company's management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards
• Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment
• Responsible for maintenance, repair and alterations of buildings, structures, and related equipment throughout the facility

Skills and qualifications required:

· NVQ Level 3 City &Guilds 2360/2330 or equivalent

· Inspection and Testing City + Guilds 2391

· Full, clean driving licence.

· A fully qualified and experienced ECS Gold card holding approved electrician with 18th Edition wiring regulations and Periodic and Initial Inspection and Testing qualifications.

· Competent in installing containment systems, trunking, basket, conduit and bracketry

· Competent with wiring using single core cables and multicore cables

· Ability to understand and work from design working drawings

· Ability to work with others and cooperate as part of a team

· A reference from a previous employer within the last 2 years
