Eden Brown Synergy is currently working in partnership with a Public Sector Organisation in London which is looking to recruit an Information Management and Governance Officer on an interim basis for 6 months initially.
Contract Length: 6 Months with possibility to extend
Location: Whitehall - Full time role, with 1-3 days per week on site, as required for Business needs.

Pay Rate to Candidate: £300 - £385 per day Umbrella inside IR35 (£222.32-£285.31 PAYE)

The DARR Information Manager (IMgr) is a key member of the Data and Information Management (IM) and Exploitation Team charged with effective Management and exploitation of data information within the Directorate.
The role is vital in ensuring the DARR Directorate identifies and defines its information requirements and refines processes to allow the effective Management and exploitation of information.
The IMgr will advise the wider team on information related matters, drafting and delivering IM related policies. The IMgr will also be responsible for the maintenance of the registered files, providing Secret User Account Management, Hardware and Software Management, Records Management, SharePoint Administration and Support and NSoIT guidance for all NCHQ Military and Civilian Personnel.
The IMgr will also act as the DARR Data Protection Adviser, working closely with the DARR Senior Information Officer (SIO). The IMgr will advise the wider team on information related matters, drafting and delivering IM related policies. The IMgr will also be responsible for Records Management, SharePoint Administration and Support.
The Information Manager (IMgr) for DARR is responsible for ensuring compliance with Information Management (IM) and Data Protection (DP) requirements. This includes securing and recording personal information according to client Policy, GDPR, and DPA 2018. The IMgr supports the Senior Information Officer (SIO) by acting as the principal Information Manager, providing advice, implementing the IM Plan, overseeing Office 365 applications, and delivering IM presentations. Responsibilities also involve acting as the Records Manager, improving IM maturity, conducting IM Assurance Audits, and investigating personal data breaches. The IMgr serves as the Data Protection Advisor, offering guidance on Pre-DPIAs and DPIAs, signing off on completed assessments, and maintaining awareness of client and DP policy. Line management responsibilities for one employee are also part of the role, and proactive support for significant periods of change within the Directorate is required. The IMgr may undertake additional tasks directed by the DARR Senior Information Manager as appropriate to their grade and experience.
