Salary: Up to £37,500 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
The successful candidate will be responsible for BAE Systems Maritime Services’ access and boundary controls. You will be communicating clearly with peers to ensure a smooth process of approval, review and restriction. This is an internal customer facing role that requires negotiation skills, diplomacy and understanding.
- Review access to classified information through appraisal of software and hardware, employee computer account allocation, peripheral access management, movement of information across boundaries, methods of Ministry of Defence (MOD) and company data handling
- Provide security advice and guidance to the business group internal and external stakeholders and make recommendations to improve security solutions for the work streams
- The candidates will be required to report measurements and statistics to senior management in order to assure that access and boundary controls are being effectively implemented
- Build effective relationships and coordination with key local functions and business representatives
- Influence the security culture by raising security awareness amongst employees and management in the local area and modelling behaviours that demonstrate BAE Systems values
- Working with internal staff to ensure delivery of security elements defined within a security plan, including any testing required
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Knowledge of IT Systems (e.g. hardware, databases, operating systems, local area network, etc) and application architectures
- Effective communicator in technical and non-technical issues
- Be methodical and accurate in record management
- Previous working experience in Information Technology or related fields
- Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Desirable:
- Be an advocate of Information Security
- Working towards an Information Security qualification (e.g. CISM, CISSP, ISO27001)
- Service Now or RSA Archer Experience
