Information Security Consultant
Must be: SC Cleared
6 month contract
Hybrid
Location: Hampshire
Responsibilities:
Responsible for Maritime Services Information Security improvement plan for the security management cycle i.e. establishment, identification, analysis, evaluate and driving forward security projectsAudit aspects of the Maritime Services business to determine the current state of play with respect to Information Security handling and controls adoptedApply Ministry of Defence (MOD) Standards and good practise standards to the security to information assets, business processes, and employeesWork independently under limited direction to resolve Information Assurance and cyber security issues and provide associated advice and guidance to the business unitOther duties will be undertaken as the role matures
Experience/ Knowledge:
Knowledge and understanding of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), i.e. current legislation, standards, risk management, processes, guidance and tools used in security engineeringExperience in production of clear concise documentation suitable for audit processes with an awareness of Secure-by-DesignHave experience of contemporary security frameworks such as NIST800/53, ISO27001:2022, DEFSTANs, DEFCONs, ISNsExperience of working within Information Security transition projects
