Job Title: Information Security Lead
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: up to £55k
Our client is a prestigious digital agency in Newcastle Upon Tyne who offer and deliver complex software solutions to a large international client base. They are seeking an experienced and hands on Information Security Lead to join their IT team and be responsible for ongoing management and maintenance of their Information Security Management System, ensuring continued compliance with standards while managing the IT team.

Role & Responsibilities:
* Establishing, developing and successfully executing an Information Security strategy.
* The continuous development and maintenance of policies and procedures, working with the team to ensure compliance.
* Regularly assessing security related risks to the business, sharing best practice and ensuring that guidance is followed across the company.
* Maintaining and carrying out a regular internal audit schedule, ensuring that non-conformances are documented and promptly addressed.
* Maintaining the risk register and treatment plans in relation to all aspects of Information Security.
* Delivering of security awareness training.
* Ensuring vulnerabilities are promptly identified and mitigated using various tooling and resources.
* Forming part of the Incident response team.
* Leadership & development of the IT Team.
Skills & Experience:
* Significant and proven experience with implementing and developing a solid ISO27001 aligned ISMS, you will be a strong and effective communicator who can influence senior stakeholders. With extensive knowledge of Information Security standards and frameworks, you will have the ability to grasp technical requirements and work with other business leaders to implement them in the most effective way possible.
* A suitable Information Security certification is essential for this role.
* Though experience within a software house would be beneficial, it is more important that you possess a passion for developing people and have a focus on your continuous development, with the ambition to make a tangible benefit to the business.
