I am delighted to present you with a fantastic opportunity for one of my world leading clients who are looking for an Information Security Manager based in Birmingham.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the development and management of the organisation’s Information Security management strategy and systems.

The successful candidate will proactively reduce Information Security risks by ensuring effective controls are in place to promote good security practice and culture through the organisation.

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Support the Head of ICT and Information Systems in setting a clear direction for Information Security strategy which addresses relevant Information Security risks and organisational needs.
• Create a robust Information Security incident response plan, agreed with and implemented through the ICT service desk, which covers the full incident lifecycle and is signed off by Head of ICT and Information Systems.
• Ensure that appropriate Information Security policies, frameworks and management systems are developed, implemented, maintained and made aware to stakeholder
• Manage PCI-DSS compliance efforts and oversee related projects
• Awareness of current Information Security developments, trends, practices, controls and standards, including understanding of related UK law and regulations
• Working knowledge of ICT infrastructure and software development/deployment including project management.

Your key skills and experience will include:

• Experience in an Information Security management role
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary IT team with experience of managing international Information Security compliance
• Experience of managing security for complex, geographically distributed systems.
• Experience of implementing ISO27001 or other relevant Information Security frameworks or standards
• Experience of working with remote teams and in an international organisation
