Information Security Officer

My client a fantastic client based on the outskirts of Chester and looking to recruit a Information Security Officer on an initially contract basis.

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this role will involve managing risks related to data protection, information, and cyber security, as well as ensuring contractual and certification compliance, including Cyber Essentials Plus and alignment with Information Security standards such as NIST, ISO 27001 and others.

• Responsibility for the Information Security risk register, identifying and recording vulnerabilities in the current network.
• Collaborating with management and the IT department to improve Information Security.
• The creation and maintenance of an ISMS containing Information Security and data protection policies in line with Information Security management standards.
• Establish, document, implement and maintain processes, procedures, and controls to ensure the required level of continuity for Information Security Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery.
• Raising risk awareness and providing relevant Information Security training across the business. Delivery of 1 to 1 training will be required to roles identified as being elevated business risks.
• Supporting internal and external audits and taking remedial action
• Assessing the impact of client requirements regarding Information Security
• Assessing high-risk suppliers and third parties
• Advising on incidents and breaches
• Consultancy to all levels of the business to support Group strategic activities.

You will have experience of all of the above for this role as well as experience of working ideally within a regulated environment and GDPR
