Job Purpose:
- Have a lead role in the development and improvement of BAC's Information Systems and digital devices.
- Provide a comprehensive support and training service to users of BAC's Information Systems and digital devices.
- Provide an information analysis service to users of BAC's information and digital systems.
- Contribute to the development of BAC's information and digital strategy
Requirements
The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience of supporting and developing complex Information Systems, ideally within a similar sector or environment, e.g., public sector, adult care sector, systems with mobile device field-based users, case management systems, customer relationship management systems, etc.
- Have some experience with Salesforce development and support.
- Experience of Microsoft 365 development and support.
- Experience with Business Intelligence reporting and dashboard tools (e.g. Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Excel.
- Understanding of data governance requirements.
- Ability to travel to sites within Aberdeen City.
- PVG registration prior to being appointed.
Responsibilities
The post holder needs to be able to demonstrate an understanding or experience of:
- Have a lead role in the implementation, development, continuous improvement, and on-going operational management of complex Information Systems and digital devices.
- Provide specialist digital systems related advice and guidance to managers, colleagues, operational and support staff, including attendance at meetings and representing the Digital Team on working groups.
- Liaison with software suppliers and colleagues in other organisations and departments (in particular Aberdeen City Council's Digital and Technology teams).
- Project management including new initiatives and system upgrades.
- Contribute to data management, governance and configuration of complex data models and procedures, e.g., Performance Indicators, FOI, GDPR, British Standards, best practice guidelines, national government requirements for data sharing, data security, data retention and disposal, etc.
- Build Business Intelligence reports and dashboards (e.g. Salesforce and Microsoft Power BI) using complex formulas and queries to provide high quality information and data sets.
- Contribute to the development of BAC's systems strategy, including identifying potential opportunities for systems related improvement, integration, rationalisation and development.
- Participate in and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
