We are seeking on behalf of our client a talented and motivated Infrastructure BIM Technician with a focus on below ground / building services design to join their growing Infrastructure modelling team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing close-knit, busy and ambitious group. The team are delivering on some of the most exciting multi-disciplinary engineering projects in the commercial, industrial and residential sectors of the industry. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience with Revit and a passion for innovative, sustainable design.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilise Building Information Modelling (BIM) software to create accurate & detailed 3D models of below ground services and drainage systems,
• Modelling of a range of MEP services, including but not limited to mechanical pipework, ventilation, lighting, power, containment, and drainage,
• Assist in the development of BIM standards & best practices within the organisation,
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of BIM models throughout the project lifecycle,
• Ensuring the most up to date techniques, industry standards and technologies are implemented in house,
• Aiding in the development of an in-house BIM database, creating relevant families, protocols & best practices for the company,
• Supporting the Civil Engineering team with technical delivery using Revit and other BIM related software,
• Completing 2D and 3D drawings to the appropriate standards for issue,
• Provide basic below ground services and drainage design to guide the in-house design engineer to complete the more complex systems design with the opportunity to take up more complex design in areas of interest,
• Work closely with the design engineer to ensure that all design, construction, and handover information is compliant with the requirements of the contract and client,
• Quality control of all BIM/CAD deliverables, lead the spatial coordination and clash detection process and enhance the integration of the different parties involved in the project.
   

Requirements

• Minimum of an HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification, ENGTech,
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working with BIM software in a professional setting,
• Ability to draw in 2D & 3D using AutoCAD & Revit software,
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills,
• Ability to effectively translate technical language to the language of business, strong problem-solving skills,
• Strong written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to use time productively, maximise efficiency, and meet challenging work goals,
• Must be a confident professional, able to directly work with valued clients,
• The candidate shall also be open minded and proactive to explore additional uses of the tools and technologies available in the market with the aim of bringing innovation to the project,
• A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive their career forward,
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies,
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed as well as determine and manage priorities with minimal guidance.
