Description
Assist staff with IT related problems both in person and remotely.
Provide basic training for staff in IT - Microsoft applications and others as required (training to be provided where appropriate).
Creating/updating all documentation on IT systems/procedures.
Track, prioritize and document support requests.
User creation and administration
Install and configure new/existing IT equipment (Servers, Firewalls, Switches, Desktop, laptops, tablets, desk phones and mobiles)
Telecoms administration
Manage and Maintain company IT infrastructure
o Windows Servers.
o Network Switches
o Wi-Fi access Points
o Firewalls
o Desktops/Laptops/Mobiles/Tablets/ Raspberry Pi's
o UPS
Document, repair, maintain and upgrade the company's IT assets (software and hardware)
o Windows Updates.
o Application updates / upgrades.
o Security patches.
o Firmware updates.
o Driver updates.
Basic maintenance of printers, copiers, and scanners.
Keep track of IT supplies and equipment e.g. cables and adapters.
Research new software in the market that relates to the organization's functions.
Support the Head of IT in the identification/implementation new software/hardware/procedures
Drive the continued use of IT within the business, supporting users with any new procedures/equipment that are introduced.
Assess requests from users on how IT can be utilised to improve the overall process, and recommend/implement solutions.
Work closely with existing support providers to deliver leading class IT support.
Profile
Required skills and competencies
- Microsoft Windows 10/11.
- Microsoft 365.
- Active Directory (Server 2012/R2/2016).
- Microsoft Azure/Entra ID
- Basic server Administration (Server 2012/R2/2016).
- Basic networking experience including DNS, DHCP, HP Switches and SonicWALL Firewalls (NSA, TZ and SMA).
- The ability to troubleshoot multifaceted problems in a systematic manner.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
