As the Infrastructure Engineer (Security Remediation), you will be working within an expanding team of proficient engineers to manage Windows infrastructure and employ tools like SCCM, Intune, and PatchMyPC to address vulnerabilities. The responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer (Security Remediation) include maintaining up-to-date core applications across the system, such as SentinelOne, Nessus, and Netskope. Effective communication is essential as the role will involve close collaboration with technical, information security, and application teams, necessitating clear and concise communication with both engineers and managers.
Requirements of the Infrastructure Engineer (Security Remediation):
- Oversee and address patches and vulnerabilities across the Server and EUC estate.
- Apply technical analysis and design expertise to ensure adherence to compliance and resolution of CVE.
- Recognize and assess potential areas for improvement.
- Generate reports on the organisation's patching and vulnerability management status.
Responsibilities of the Infrastructure Engineer (Security Remediation)
- Conducting AV/EDR (SentinelOne) installation and troubleshooting
- Addressing failed patch installations and troubleshooting SCCM automation jobs
- Packaging desktop applications and deploying applications/scripts
- Maintaining security solutions, including antivirus, device control, encryption, and patching
- Managing remote application deployments using Intune, MECM, and MDM
- Overseeing Microsoft Security Patching with WSUS, MECM, and WUFB
- Reporting on application and patch deployments and troubleshooting for full estate coverage
- Monitoring and managing incidents and changes
- Documenting processes and runbooks as needed
- Aligning IT solutions with business requirements
- Collaborating with vendors and staying informed about software updates
- Maintaining awareness of patching and service maintenance developments
- Providing reactive and proactive advice
- Identifying and automating tasks for IT environment standardization
- Ensuring compliance with IT standards and governance models for projects and activities
- Identifying gaps in patching and contributing to the roadmap
