The role can be home based with travel into the Reading office on the odd occasion.
The role:
- Ensure all servers and network devices are in monitoring and the monitoring is fit for purpose.
- Work on security and network-based projects.
- Respond to monitoring alerts.
- Perform maintenance on all virtual servers, set-up maintenance plans and proactive monitoring.
- Ensure all network and security devices are configured correctly.
- Ensure all servers are backed up, check daily for backup failures and resolve.
- Be a point of escalation for all network related tickets.
- Ensuring all servers are backed up.
- Carry out DR tests on network devices, individual servers and business systems.

- Strong Microsoft Windows skills and strong understanding of TCP/IP.
- Experience managing and maintaining firewalls/switches/routers.
- A can-do attitude, ability to think on your feet and a team player.
- Virtualisation skills with Hyper-V
- Knowledge of routing protocols
- Good working knowledge of DNS
- Office 365 and Azure administration experience
