Avanti Recruitment is working with a leading not-for-profit organisation with offices in either Lincoln or Oxfordshire to recruit an experienced Infrastructure / Network Engineer. This will be a broad and challenging role working with a wide variety of technologies in an Infrastructure support role that covers the Networks, Servers, Hardware and software applications.
Your role will primarily focus on reviewing, maintaining and improving their Networks but also Systems Administration of Servers (both virtual and physical). You will also get involved in project work for the design, delivery and upgrade of hardware and software applications and new technologies in their technical stack. They are interested in candidates with advanced networking knowledge with MPLS, Traffic Shaping, Subnets, QoS, DNS Management, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, Switches, VLANs etc. Cisco certification (CCNA) would be beneficial but is not essential. They want to find someone who is experienced enough to proactively monitor their Network infrastructure to improve performance and capacity.
This will be a great role in a stable company who invest in the IT systems and offer an interesting technical opportunity for an experienced Senior Network Engineer.
To be considered you will need to have skills in Routing, Switching and Firewalls. Any experience in the following will be highly beneficial:
MPLS, Traffic Shaping, Subnets, QoS, DNS Management, firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP, Switches, VLANs, WiFi Devices, IP based telephony and WAN utilising SDWAN and DIA.
You will also be expected to have all round infrastructure and server administration skills in most of the following:
- Windows Server and Desktop
- Active Directory DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
- Azure Cloud platforms, Office365
- Virtualisation (Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix)
